Regulatory Accountant will assist with monthly (ONRR) Federal and Indian royalty report filings, ONRR estimates and analysis, associated monthly general ledger accounting entries, and the preparation and approvals for the monthly wire payment. Coordinate with Revenue Accountants and the Land Department on division order decks, new property setups, and prior period adjustments. Also responsible for maintaining accuracy of the ONRR module lease and tract allocation set-ups, the monthly vent/flared/field fuel upload, ONRR module error analysis, and clearing errors. Analyze and process payment for all regulatory related invoices, and assist with prior period adjustments. The candidate will also need to gain an understanding of all ONRR reporting regulations, including valuation, Indian major portion analysis, and the marketable condition rules. The Accountant will also assist with special projects as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting desired. A business degree with 18 hours of accounting will be considered. CPA a plus, 2+ years of regulatory reporting experience required or oil and gas revenue/production accounting experience. Familiarity with plant processing and experience with ONRR a plus. Position requires sound analytical skills and the ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely. Must be able to meet deadlines and work effectively with others. Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in Excel. Must be a quick learner, self-starter, and independent worker. 
 
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
