Accountant III will play an integral role in the Shared Services accounting group with a focus on reconciling and communicating sand cost, forecasting, reporting, and additional accounting duties. This position will also assist the current team with daily and monthly responsibilities while providing analytical support to management and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze sand forecasts and cost models for multiple divisions
- Prepare, reconcile, and review monthly completion schedules by divisions
- Prepare a monthly close calendar that will be communicated to internal departments and external partners
- Reconcile G/L balances and monitor sand costs allocated to divisions
- Maintain vendor relationships, communication, and invoicing reconciliation with AP
- Division coordination, communication of cost, and sand accruals
- Variance analysis of monthly and quarterly all in sand costs
- Support day-to-day accounting functions that relate to sand purchases and trucking logistics

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, CPA is a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in related business field with a minimum of 18 hours of accounting will be considered.
- 3+ years of oil and gas industry accounting experience with a concentration in operations accounting preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong familiarity and working knowledge of COPAS operating agreements
- Highly self-motivated with ability to multi-task and meet rigorous deadlines
- Requires accuracy and strong analytical skills
- Proficient knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word
- Knowledge of AS400 system, MS Query, or SQL a plus
