The Client is a Johannesburg-based supplier of industrial minerals, chemicals and agricultural and animal feed inputs, and part of an international group, which runs global procurement from Türkiye. They sell from local warehouse stock and on import, and hold Department of Agriculture (Act 36) registrations for key feed and fertiliser products. They serve mining, metallurgy, industrial, agricultural and animal feed customers across South Africa and are growing into SADC. They are  building a new, commission-driven sales team with a hands-on, open office culture.

• Grow agri and animal feed sales against agreed volume and gross profit targets.
• Build and manage relationships with feed mills, premixers and nutritionists; win back lapsed accounts and open new ones.
• Take over existing South African agri accounts in stages over roughly 12 months.
• Quote within the price list and approval process; follow orders through to delivery and payment.
• Back up the sales administrator on quotes, orders and customer queries.
• Identify new products and customer needs, and work with business development on product development and registrations.
• Keep the CRM and weekly visit and pipeline reports up to date.

• Proven sales experience in the South African animal feed or animal nutrition market.
• Animal feed experience and a feed-industry network are essential. Fertiliser experience counts only alongside feed experience.
• An existing network of feed mills, premixers and/or feed manufacturers.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (many customers operate in Afrikaans).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.
• Tertiary qualification in agriculture, animal science or a related field.
• Experience in fertiliser, crop protection or trace minerals (copper, zinc).
• Understanding of Act 36 registration of farm feeds and fertilisers.
