Position Overview: They are seeking an Applications Developer to join the team on site in Arlington, VA. Reporting to the BI Manager within the IT department, this role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and deploying PowerApps solutions for various departments. The Application Developer will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into effective applications using an agile methodology and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a secure framework and standards for designing and maintaining custom applications.
  • Utilize Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Azure SQL Server databases, and SharePoint for application development.
  • Design wireframes, data flow diagrams, data models, and process diagrams.
  • Lead working sessions with business process owners, develop prototypes, and actively engage in requirement workshops.
  • Assist in testing, governance, data quality, training, and documentation efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex data-related problems and ensure effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in application development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong skills in integrating data sources using APIs, SQL queries, or other data transference methods.
  • Experience in database model design and UI/UX design practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Microsoft Power Apps, .Net, Swift, or other application development software.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and process automation.
  • Coding experience in Python, R, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Word Press and web design.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake ingestion.
  • Experience in agile development and sprint planning.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
