Provides support in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of pumps, valves, pipelines, and associated cargo systems onboard the FSO/FPSO. The role ensures safe and efficient transfer of crude oil, produced water, and other fluids under the supervision of the pump man or cargo supervisor. This position is critical in maintaining compliance with operational and safety standards for offshore marine/oil & gas operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the pump man in the operation of cargo pumps, ballast pumps, stripping pumps, and associated systems.

Monitor pressure gauges, flow meters, and pump performance to ensure smooth operations.

Support crude oil loading, storage, transfer, and offloading operations in compliance with company and international standards.

Carry out routine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance of cargo systems, pipelines, valves, and pump room equipment.

Assist with ballast control operations (ballasting and de-ballasting activities).

  • Ensure that safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and environmental policies are strictly adhered to.

  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the pump room and cargo deck areas.

  • Report promptly any abnormalities, leaks, or malfunctions in pump systems to the Pump Man or Cargo Supervisor.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum of WASC/O-Level certificate.

  • Valid Able Seaman Certificate (AB) from a recognized maritime authority.

  • Relevant FSO/FPSO or tanker experience (minimum 5 years).
