Job Description

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of CAD standards and training material in coordination with the discipline design managers
  • Responsible for the development of BIM execution plans
  • Responsible for multi-discipline design workflows and setup
  • Responsible for the standardization of clash detection workflows for use by project team members
  • Responsible for the standardization of model-based issue resolution workflows
  • Responsible for defining software interconnectivity procedures between different software both on-prem and in the cloud (AutdoDesk BIM360)
  • Responsible for the research and development of new tools, procedures, products, and systems to improve the design workflow
  • Responsible for supporting model-based knowledge management goals
  • Responsible for the implementation of new design and collaboration software
  • Interfaces with Project Manager, Project Engineer(s), Discipline Design Leads, Project Controls Engineer(s), Database Administrator(s), and Data/Software Engineers

Position Requirements:

  • Have attained a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an ABET accredited university and 5 to 15 years of relevant experience
  • Competent in using cloud based platforms containing engineering data; ideal candidate would have BIM360
  • Have knowledge in the principles and practices of engineering and design
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a diversely educated audience
  • Be professional and detail oriented
  • Display good communication, organization, and collaboration skills
