Job Role Responsibilities

The individual will require to handle Chemical and Downstream catalysts and licensing business activities in China, covering and not limited to:

1.    Safety and Control
a)    Commit and behave based on highest level of safety and control standards and policies
b)    Comply with all of applicable laws and regulations for business integrity and personal ethic

2.    Business Development
a)    Understand C&L GBU core strategies and technology platform strategies and show commitment to growing GI value
b)    Work with China C&L team to achieve GBU functional excellence
c)    Explore business opportunities of C&L in Greater China and identify key prospects to prioritize and focus on
d)    Maintain new opportunity pipelines and monitor development
e)    Develop individual plan and review with supervisor to direct future business developing activities
f)    Develop technology licensing and/or catalyst sales/lease proposals with global licensing managers for potential clients in Greater China
g)    Market technology and catalyst offerings covering Para Xylene, Ethyl Benzene, Cumene, LDPE, EVA, Lubes Base Stock MSDW, MIDW, Flexicoking, Sulfuric Acid Alkylation, SCANfining and others (e.g. Cody/New technologies)
h)    Leverage on global resources and work with overseas experts for project development and related negotiations, e.g. NDA, Technical Appendix, Commercial Agreement, Catalysts Supply Agreement, etc.
i)    Negotiate and work with customers under the guidance of global licensing managers for specific technology and catalyst opportunities 
j)    Take responsibility on contract execution to deliver the results, covering cradle to grave of new project/revamp technology licensing (feasibility study to start-up) 
k)    Carry out adhoc projects / studies e.g. refinery / petrochemical run plan optimization study, competitive study
l)    Support marketing / Marcom activities

3.    Market and competitive Intelligence 
a)    Collect and solicit competitors intelligence, monitor the changes of governmental policies/regulations, understand the direct/potential impact to our business
b)    Based on the market and competitive intelligence, provide to the C&L Global and China team the insights and recommend action plans
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree holders
  • Technical background (Engineering or Science) preferred
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
  • Able to work independently and also with team
  • Able to travel frequently
