Senior Coating Inspector

Overview

Experienced Coating Inspector required to oversee coating and surface preparation activities on large fabricated offshore structures, ensuring compliance with quality requirements, inspection plans, and industry standards.

Requirements

• NACE Level III, ICorr Level III, or equivalent
• 10+ years’ coating inspection experience
• HNC/HND or recognised Mechanical/Structural qualification
• Experience with offshore fabrication and coating works
• Knowledge of ITPs, QA/QC processes, and coating inspections
• Familiar with industry standards such as NORSOK and DNV
• Strong reporting and stakeholder management skills
• MS Office proficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Witness and inspect surface preparation and coating activities
• Monitor quality, environmental conditions, materials, and workmanship
• Review ITPs, procedures, and coating documentation
• Identify and report non-conformances
• Attend inspections, walkdowns, and quality meetings
• Review coating records and final documentation
• Produce daily and weekly inspection reports
• Support technical queries and quality issues
