What you’ll do:
This position will be responsible for overseeing DevEx’s commissioning and start-up activities for new skid installs and facilities across Eastern Queensland, Cooper Basin, Northern Territory, and Narrabri.
Key accountabilities include:
- Commission a range of greenfield and brownfield infrastructure including wellpad skids, monitoring RTUs and various other electrical and process systems.
- Coordinate troubleshooting of control system code or logic as required.
- Review and approval of quality assurance documentation including field inspection checklists and manufacture data records.
- Support high quality installation practices through site inspection and punch list walk down attendance.
- Create and upload Commissioning Dossiers as per project requirements.
- Proactively minimise the risk of construction or infrastructure online schedule delays.
- Proactively contribute to Santos’ lowest cost objectives through the challenging of design, work methods and practices.
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with own team, contractors and other Santos stakeholders.
- Recognise that safety is a top priority and always work in a safe manor.
What you’ll bring:
You bring solid experience in the oil & gas or mining industry and the technical expertise required to meet DevEx’s standards. You excel in dynamic environments, work well in teams, and are focused on delivering high-quality results. With a strong safety-first mindset and a drive for continuous improvement, you’re ready to contribute to successful commissioning and start-up activities.
For this role, you will be required to hold a Queensland open electrical licence and preferably have EEHA competencies for hazardous areas, and a Certificate III or IIII in Instrumentation and Control, ensuring safety, compliance, and technical excellence in commissioning and start-up activities.
