You will lead the strategic direction of assigned categories, developing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, mitigate risks and elevate supplier performance. You will manage high‑level supplier relationships, influence cross‑functional decisions and contribute to long‑term procurement planning and governance.
As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing category strategies that support business goals and deliver measurable cost improvements.
- Managing key suppliers to ensure alignment with performance, compliance and sustainability expectations.
- Leading commercial negotiations and overseeing the full contracting lifecycle to secure optimal terms.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align category needs and influence strategic decisions.
- Conducting quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
- Acting as a primary escalation point for supplier performance issues and delivery risks.
- Participating in senior procurement leadership discussions and contributing to governance planning.
- Monitoring market trends, analyzing risks and applying insights to strengthen sourcing decisions.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree; MCIPS preferred.
- Have significant experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
- Have proven leadership and project‑management experience.
- Have strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Have the ability to partner effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Have strong analytical skills for data‑driven decision‑making.
- Have experience managing global suppliers or complex categories.
- Have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
