Construction Project Controls Consultant – Richmond, VA

Our client is seeking a Construction Project Controls Consultant to work within their facilities located in Richmond, VA for a 6-month assignment plus extensions.

The position will require someone who is proactive with strong organizational and interpersonal skills as interactions supporting these projects will involve matrixed, cross-functional project teams from across the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple concurrent projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the Project Construction organization.
  • Support projects from their startup and bringing projects to closure while meeting customer expectations.
  • Support development and communication of business cases to support recommendations and monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes and support with data reporting, data access, document collaboration, regulatory support, and investor relations.
  • Ensure the project’s successful completion.
  • Monitor actual project cost and/or work status data to ensure project is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare budgets and analyze monthly cost reports. Implement, evaluate, and monitor controls systems.

Qualifications:

  • Good verbal/writing/presentation skills.
  • Effective work and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of decision making and problem solving.
  • Effective math, analytical, and computer skills.
  • Manages multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to verify data and present statistical reports and documentation.
