Job description
On behalf of an independent oil & gas operator, WRS are looking for a Contracts Manager to work in Kurdistan on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 6 month renewable contract, rotating 5/2 into Erbil, paying a day rate in USD
The role will report to the Supply Chain Manager, implementing and supporting development of a Gas Management Project (GMP)
Job Duties include
- Providing contractual advice and support to the project team on the EPC project, especially guidance to the project manager and supply chain management on contractual issues
- Providing contractual support and leadership on incoming and outgoing letters, claims and variation requests
- Supporting project manager during monthly project review meetings with regards to preparation and presentation of claims and variation logs.
Ideal canddiate will have
- Knowledge & understanding of contracting and procurement processes including ethical principles; bidder prequalification; invitation to tender; comparative evaluation of contractors; & award, management, amendment & close out of contracts
- Appropriate practical experience in preparation and negotiation of complex technical contracts in the oil or petrochemical industries
- Previous experience similar gas facilities projects
- Previous experience working for an operator
