Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Country Manager to lead and grow its technical sales and business development activities within an assigned African market. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, promoting condition monitoring services, and representing the business at a country level. The Country Manager will combine technical credibility with strong commercial capability, supporting customers through solution-based sales, training, and ongoing account management, while achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to the overall growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development activities through the acquisition of new customers and the farming of existing client relationships
  • Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Compile and submit monthly business development and prospecting reports
  • Prepare, compile, and deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers
  • Generate quotations and follow up through to order receipt and job completion
  • Draft, manage, and administer customer contracts and commercial agreements
  • Provide technical and service-related training to customers as required
  • Conduct regular site visits and maintain strong engagement with client operations
  • Prepare and submit weekly call reports
  • Attend routine sales meetings (frequency to be defined)
  • Complete and submit expense schedules in line with company policy
  • Oversee staff activities where required and support operational coordination
  • Monitor industry trends and represent the business at trade shows, conventions, and seminars

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably within mining, industrial, or HME environments
  • Strong commercial and customer-facing capability with a solution-based sales approach
  • Ability to prepare and present technical and commercial information clearly and professionally
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel within Africa as required
  • Self-driven, well-organised, and target-oriented
  • Strong communication, reporting, and relationship-management skills
