Job Role Summary

The Craft Labor Categor Manager will be responsible to drive value, efficiency and expand market advantage via end-to-end category management, while ensuring operational integrity and people development.


Job Role Responsibilities

•    Provide category and commercial guidance to Contract Managers (CM’s) working within their portfolio’s  
•    Job will require employee to interface across multiple levels of business line and Procurement 
•    Develop and chair category network team’s or others and maintain Category Planning Sites 
•    Deliver Business Value by developing and implementing commercial category plans
•    Responsible for development and stewardship of Category-specific Business Value plans 
•    Ensure strategy penetration into agreements considering portfolios, VIP’s via templates and tools  (eg: bid evaluation, scope of work, compensation, agreement action plans, etc…)  
•    Develop and sustain business and category expertise of all network participants
•    Communicate Procurement Strategies to CM’s, Area Procurement managers (APM’s), Efficiency Contracting (EC) Request Coordinators and Supervisors
•    Support development and execution of VIP(s) assisting Area Procurement Managers (APM’s)  
•    Ensure category fit-for-purpose terms & conditions and processes 
•    Review and endorse project documents (P-Plans, Awards, etc.)   
•    Participate in or own Supplier Relationship Management activities
•    Provide performance input and feedback for intra-category CM
•    Support CM’s in agreement negotiations where necessary
•    Minimal travel may be required


Job Requirements    
•    BS in Supply Chain, or other applicable business degree
•    Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
•    A minimum of 5 years contracting experience
•    A minimum of 5 years Oil and Gas or procurement experience 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

•    Conract Labor Category expertise
•    Procurement / Commercial functional expertise  
•    Basic understanding of industrial business and market knowledge   
•    Leadership skills   
•    Communication skills; interpersonal skills; ability to lead virtual teams  
•    Facilitation skills / managing virtual Business Networks   
•    Analytical skills / TSC models / MI
•    Influence and persuasion
