Job Role Summary

 

This role is the face of Procurement to Downstream and Chemical manufacturing site Turnaround organizations.  Turnaround Single Point of Contact (TA SPOC) will manage, analyze, and optimize TA suppliers:  introduce new strategies & approaches to the market, incorporate new suppliers, etc.  Build strong working relationships with business contacts and suppliers via site visits, supplier tours, and F2F meetings. 

 

Share market intelligence with business line contacts to yield a highly competitive business environment.
 

Job Role Responsibilities

 

•    Optimize TA Supplier Strategy/Usage by supporting the Procurement organization in development and implementation of category-specific strategy and commercial guidance
•    Identify business value and competitive opportunities within the TA Supplier portfolio
•    Own commercial actions (bids, renewals, amendments, etc.) specific to site/Area TAs 
•    Be a Market Expert (with support from Category Management)
•    Understand Agreement Utilization
•    Ensure contract is utilized as intended
•    Identify efficiencies from leakage, overheads, and third party markup rates and utilization
•    Optimize compensation method utilization (unit rate vs. T&M vs. lump sum)
•    Optimize 3G utilization; closely monitor insurance, overheads, DTP, etc. 
•    Understand Business Line Needs
•    Partner with site users to understand their view of supplier performance and market landscape
•    Build relationships with end users
•    Understand how agreements are being utilized at transactional/operational level
•    Attend/lead strategy meetings — TA Procurement Kickoff, TR Reviews, AMP, supplier reviews, etc.
•    Get involved in the BL processes
•    Measure applied value,  agreement leakage, unit rate utilization, OT, overheads, Spots, markups, productivity, etc.

 

Job Requirements
    

•    Preference for BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, or other applicable business degrees
•    Strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills
•    A minimum of 3 years of contracting experience
•    A minimum of 3 years of O&G sales or procurement experience

•    Demonstrate Commercial Intensity (Bids/Auctions/Negotiations) & introduction of new suppliers
•    Lead with informal authority 
•    Analyze & communicate effectively
•    Demonstrate sense of urgency & personal ownership
•    Bring an entrepreneurial mindset
•    Advocate and influence at all levels of the organization (internally and externally)
•    Bring knowledge of the Craft Labor and TA contracting
