Job Title: Derrick Man

Project: Geothermal Deep Onshore project 

This opportunity supports drilling operations in a technically demanding onshore oil and gas or deep geothermal environment, with a strong focus on drilling fluids, rig operations and operational safety. The role contributes directly to safe and efficient execution on a super light rig using an MPD system, including tubular handling, drilling string support, fluid monitoring and reporting. This position offers the chance to work within a specialist technical team delivering critical field operations.

Required Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in onshore oil and gas or deep geothermal operations
  • At least 2 years of experience in Continental Europe
  • Experience supporting drilling operations, including running drilling strings in and out of hole under supervision
  • Experience operating drilling fluid systems and pumps during drilling operations

Required Skills:

  • Ability to handle and rack tubulars in line with operational procedures and safety requirements
  • Good knowledge of drilling fluid systems, rig operations and safety procedures
  • Ability to mix chemicals and additives and monitor drilling fluid volumes and properties
  • Ability to record drilling fluid data and report operational issues accurately
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, security and environmental standards
  • Experience working on a super light rig using an MPD system

Required Certifications:

  • IWCF Level 2
  • OPITO H2S
  • MIST or BOSIET
  • OEUK Medical Certificate
