Job Role Summary

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic API Developer to support in-house and vendor Applications who is ready to take on the challenges in our ExxonMobil IT organization supporting our Procurement business customers.
The API Developer will work in some of the biggest Procurement systems landscape worldwide, supporting daily operations, working on customer enhancements and projects, applying latest technology like Mulesoft and Azure API Management. Our team is supporting the Payables, acquisition, warehousing and supply chain processes from the need until the goods and services are delivered to the target location.

 

Job Role Responsibilities

– Handle problems and tickets reported by users of the overall Procurement process. This includes break/fix remediation, business consulting and answering user “how to” questions
– Gather/clarify business requirements for reported Payables incidents or enhancement requests
– Troubleshoot/debug Payables Systems and then recommend solutions
– Respond to breakdowns of time critical issues
– Maintain system configuration settings
– Learn and maintain API custom enhancements
– API Developer Debugging knowledge enough to troubleshoot system issues
– Perform thorough testing of problem corrections and enhancements
– Prepare detailed design specifications for program, report, or interface development activities
– Create documentation to end-users and support team for system enhancements

Expected Level of Proficiency

Mulesoft, Cloud/Azure, DevOps, Agile
Demonstrated background developing backend solutions for dynamic websites – how they scale, how they work with other services and how they may break.
Dedicated problem-solver who can work in a fast paced environment where multiple releases are a fact of life.
Ability to size technical efforts accurately.
A focus on quality with experience engineering to write, develop and test plans.
Refactor code to improve efficiency, modularity and maintainability.
Good understanding of object oriented programming.
Experience collaborating with other team members in multiple teams diagnosing and debugging complex systems, and participating in triaging and repairing build, deployment and operational issues.
Experience with web application security in software development lifecycle
Proven capabilities of working under pressure and deadlines to solve critical issues
Confident interpersonal skills and eye toward collaboration
The position requires strong communication skills to talk to team members local and globally; vendors; internal customers
This role focus on delivering while having the agility to adjust and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Experience with Agile Practices
Nice to have: KAFKA, Snowflake, QLIK knowledge
