Short Description / Purpose of Job

The primary focus is to ensure timeous and accurate execution of approved orders for exports to customers and Sasol Regions globally. Complete all Spent catalyst shipments via SAP.

Ensure full compliance to all legal requirements in shipping, customs and Excise and Border regulations, Zero Rated VAT act with regards to Exchange control and INCO terms employed.

Ensure knowledge and full compliance with regards to the VAT Act, Customs & Excise Act, Exchange Control Regulations, INCOTERMS, IMDG Code, Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, Sea Transport Documents Act.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

  • Create stock movement requirements orders to enable the fulfilment of orders 
  • Adhere to planning in line with internal control systems and business practices.  Deliver against the demand requirements                
  • Assess transport and storage capacity requirements and adjust plans to ensure appropriate inventories exist while meeting customer service level, supply reliability, governance, risk and regulations                  
  • Develop scenarios and strategies to address capacity shortages and perform business analysis to minimize risks and maximize available capacity.
  • Recommend on Target levels to Planning & Optimisation                  
  • Provide relevant input to the Distribution Requirement Planning Manager for the development of a business case for the acquisition of new assets. Provide input to appraise relevant operating results 
  • Give input, translate and implement Base Chemicals Supply Chain strategy (Primary)      
  • Manage risk associated with all inventory related activities within area of responsibility   
  • Coordinate and optimize shipping plans and ensuring VMS is updated with latest information at all times
  • Inventory management admin on month end stock sheets.
  • Inventory reporting coordination on housekeeping.       

Formal Education

Appropriate Diploma / Degree i.e. B.Com, B.Sc. (Eng.) or equivalent qualification (Preferred)

Min Experience

  • 3-4 years Supply Chain Planning experience
  • 4 years’ experience (value chain specific)
