About Houston (Spring)
ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.
By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today, and in the future, to achieve business objectives and accelerate the discovery of new resources, technologies and products. What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil is seeking a qualified content creator to support its corporate Digital Marketing team
Located in Houston, Texas this role will manage the end to end development of editorial content while work closely with partner agencies and other internal business partners
What you will do
Develop and manage editorial content and thought leadership published on ExxonMobil.com by supporting end-to-end creative development from concept to production to final approvals / go live (e.g. videos, articles, by-lined blogs, infographics and other immersive and long-form content)
Oversee email communication channel and targeted campaigns to distribute editorial content
Maintain editorial calendar and pipeline of content based on broader department messaging priorities
Collaborate with social media and advertising colleagues to promote editorial content to target audiences via owned and paid media channels
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner agencies for content reporting and data-analysis, including tracking and monitoring KPI’s in real-time and optimizing and pivoting strategies, tactics and content development
Secure stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the planning, development and execution phases of content development
As needed, support on-location productions by working closely with creative teams to ensure on-location production is run efficiently and to expectations
Work with appropriate internal and external teams to ensure brand look and feel are adhered to
Stay aware of the evolving landscape and help drive thought-leadership by bringing forth ideas to stay competitive in the digital content landscape
Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated teamwork, communication and leadership skills are essential. Candidate should be able to work with multi-cultural global team. Skill requirements are as follows:
5+ years of experience in the content creation or editorial content space
Demonstrate passion for finding and telling unique stories with an eagerness to learn and share new trends in the digital marketing space
Experience managing agency teams for creative development and productive
Excellent interviewing, editing and proofreading skills; ability to think critically about content in context of brand messaging, goals, and voice
Ambitious with a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
Demonstrated ability of creative and innovative thought processes
Outstanding verbal and written skills – able to deliver written materials error-free, grammatically correct and on-time
Proven ability to be meticulous, organized, technical, and creative at the same time
Experienced time management and project coordination skills to support multiple work streams and ensure delivery of high-quality work on tight deadlines
Ability to listen effectively, document proceedings accurately, drive and support ongoing dialogue
Ability to work independently and under close direction
Ability to connect and collaborate with a wide variety of people, an interdisciplinary team
Flexible, adaptable and responsive when quick turnarounds are required
