Subsea7 has an exciting opportunity for an Employee Services Lead to join our HR Team, based in our Singapore office on what will initially be a 1 year contract basis.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for the HR Administration function and Mandatory Training functions within the Global Employment Company (GEC). The GEC is the employer of our offshore crew. Based in Singapore, our crew are deployed on vessels and worksites all over the world.

The Employee Services Lead will be responsible for day-to-day management of these functions and personnel, with a focus on efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of these functions. They will also have line management responsibility for the HR Coordinators and Training Coordinators.

We are in the middle of a digital transformation which will see SuccessFactors being implemented in Q3 2024, so this role will also be accountable for supporting the integration of the system into the GEC and overseeing the associated change.

 

What will your responsibilities involve?

  • Develop a constructive and professional relationship with all stakeholders and colleagues within Subsea7 and Seaway7, including our offshore crew.
  • Support the GEC HR plan and strategy, providing input where appropriate.
  • Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management of the HR Administration and Training functions, considering relevant employment legislation.
  • Monitor stakeholder satisfaction and promote HR service performance to ensure continuous improvement and customer service mindset.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regards to the employment practices and processes for the Global Employment Company and International Payroll.
  • Maximise the use of Human Resource Information Systems to ensure delivery of accurate and timely information to customers and maintain the accuracy and compliance of data (manual and electronic).
  • Contribute to the resolution of team inquiries through the Crew Query Centre (CQC) and use information derived from system reports to promote progress in team operations.
  • Analyses HR metrics on monthly basis to identify trends and suggests appropriate interventions as necessary.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of initiatives which promote and develop constructive Employee Relations within throughout the offshore community.
  • Promote SuccessFactors implementation, ensure processes are aligned with the system.
  • Support the training of the team in the use of the system.
  • Standardise data naming conventions and ensure these are properly communicated.
  • Ensure that assigned HR functions capitalise from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, and promoting safety and integrity consistently.
  • Participate in global and local HR initiatives as required.
  • Support the standardisation, compliance and efficiency of Functional policies, processes and systems across Subsea7.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources or related business degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience developing people and teams.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing change.
  • A good understanding of HRIS systems – SAP and SuccessFactors knowledge is preferred.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with an ability to interface with widely diverse groups of stakeholders and crew members.
  • You should have strong influencing skills and be adept at navigating effectively through various levels in a matrixed organization.
