The position

This position contributes to the implementation of Equinor’s data strategy through deliveries required across the company and in the business. By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as a contact person for Master Data Management (MDM) to advice and define processes, governance, policies, standards, and tools.

  • Work to ensure and increase quality, integrity, compliance, and value of data.

  • Implement and improve data product concepts, and related tools and governance.

  • Support the federated data governance model with definition of requirements, best practices, guidelines, work processes, services, and tools.

  • Challenge established ways of working and ensure that standards, tools, technologies, and work methods are developed, qualified, and implemented.

  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management.

  • Participate in projects including to execute and define setting cross functional goals.

You

  • BSc or MSc degree in computer science, information science, or data science. Other relevant education may be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data modelling, architecture, analytics, or a related area.

  • Experienced with data governance principles, data quality, and MDM practices.

  • Industry certifications from DAMA, TDWI, or similar organizations in data management or a related field would be advantageous.

  • Familiar with data driven workflows and processes, data centric design, federated governance models and connected ecosystems.

  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in data protection and privacy (such as GDPR).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
