EPC Buyer

Location: La Seyne sur Mer

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months renewable (Possibility of pre-employment)
Timeframe: Role has full sign off and budget, and interviews can be held within 2 weeks

Main mission: Guarantee the optimization (cost, quality & deadlines) of the purchases of the project for which he is responsible. To consult, negotiate, write and follow orders in order to meet customer expectations (Internal / external) while respecting the purchasing strategies. Monitor the proper execution of contracts in partnership with the expediting service and settle disputes.


Key Responsibilities and background:

  • Anticipation / management of risks set up a contingency plan to limit the impacts on the progress of the project
  • Contractual management determines, with regard to the risks of the industrial plan, the contractual clauses that best protect the project / group interests
  • Negotiation in a complex environment, obtains the strengthening of the group’s position with suppliers by acting on all available levers
  • Sleep market / sourcing selects, within defined deadlines, for specific products or in geographic areas specific, suppliers most suited to the needs
  • Analysis and understanding need advocates for the most impactful requirements, alternatives to optimize costs and deadlines
  • Budget anticipates the risks and necessary adjustments by measuring and regularly monitoring the activity or the progress of the project
  • Meeting conduct carry out a complete report allowing to define an action plan or for a decision maker of the project to take a decision
  • Supplier management negotiates the most favourable conditions for the services sought
  • Rex obtains the services concerned, the integration of corrective actions in standard documents
  • Negotiation / management of contracts negotiate major riders


Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • English Language
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Pack
  • Experience with ORACLE tool
  • Knowledge of the overall operation of an Energy Recovery Plant (UVE)
  • Knowledge of quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) standards


Training and / or Professional Experience:

  • Level: Bac + 5 (Purchasing training or Management school, engineering degree mainly in mechanics)
  • Additional training / experience: 5 years minimum experience in an equivalent position
  • Mandatory safety training: NC
