Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst based in The Woodlands, Texas.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with other FA’s in GOM Business Unit and individuals supporting operations as responsible analyst for a designated group of assets within GOM (generally, several platforms)
  • Analyzing actual and planned financial activity on designated asset group
  • Preparing monthly journal entries, primarily for AFE and revenue accruals
  • Preparing current/subsequent year forecast and financial statements and analysis
  • Preparing monthly close schedules
  • Ensuring monthly close deadlines are met
  • Working closely with other departments in recording and analyzing financial data, including outlook
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests from operations personnel to support budget, forecast and reserves reporting
  • Assisting with other accounting-related projects impacting GOM BU, which may include support for SAP system integration
  • Experience with deepwater O&G operations is a huge plus

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years Oil and Gas Accounting Experience, preferably upstream oil and gas accounting or FP&A experience *
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Ability to analyze data and reach own conclusions
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work overtime required for monthly closing activities*
  • Upstream Oil and Gas experience / background *
  • SAP experience *
  • CPA

 

Other comments:

  • Office location is in The Woodlands; team will have a hybrid location schedule with 3 days/week in the office (Tues-Thurs) unless a business need arises and requires Mon/Fri in the office
