Due to an internal promotion in the group, they are seeking a Financial Controller to join their growing team in Luanda, Angola.
Job Description
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for carrying out the below responsibilities:
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (both statutory and management reporting)
- Ensure compliance with Angolan statutory laws, tax regulations, and any international accounting standards (IFRS etc.)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles; analyze variances vs budget/forecast
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities
- Implement, monitor, and improve financial controls, policies and procedures
- Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, regulatory bodies
- Provide financial insights, analysis and recommendations to upper management for strategic decision-making
