Context & Environment

TotalEnergies Gas & Power North America (TGPNA) is TotalEnergies’ U.S. trading affiliate, responsible for a broad range of commercial activities, including energy marketing and trading, transportation, storage, exports, and asset optimization. TGPNA plays a critical role in supporting the Company’s integrated U.S. energy portfolio, which includes natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), a rapidly growing power business, and environmental products. Together, these businesses are central to TotalEnergies’ global strategy of delivering reliable, affordable, and increasingly lower-carbon energy solutions.

Natural gas and power are key pillars of the energy transition and are integral to TotalEnergies’ ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified, and lower-carbon energy portfolio. Natural gas and LNG remain strategic priorities, providing flexible and reliable energy sources that help decarbonize power generation and industrial activities while complementing renewable energy by addressing its inherent intermittency. In parallel, power has become a core growth business for TotalEnergies, with significant investments underway across the U.S. electricity value chain to develop an increasingly integrated and competitive power portfolio.

Natural gas liquids also play a vital role in the Company’s integrated energy strategy, serving as essential feedstocks for the petrochemical industry and supporting TotalEnergies’ presence across the broader energy value chain. These products are fundamental to the manufacture of a wide range of consumer and industrial goods and contribute to the Company’s long-term value creation objectives. Environmental products further support TotalEnergies’ commitment to advancing the energy transition by helping reduce carbon intensity, meet evolving customer needs, and optimize the balance of its diversified energy portfolio.

The Gas, Renewables & Power (GRP) business segment serves as a critical market access platform for TotalEnergies, providing commercial expertise and solutions across origination, structuring, risk management, market intelligence, and customer engagement. Within GRP, the U.S. Gas Origination Team operates as part of the Trading, Market Access & Proprietary Trading organization and plays a key role in identifying, developing, and executing commercial opportunities across the evolving U.S. energy landscape. Working at the intersection of market intelligence, commercial innovation, and portfolio optimization, the team enables growth across natural gas, NGLs, power, and environmental products while supporting TotalEnergies’ strategic objective of becoming a leading global multi-energy company.

Activities

The Gas Originator is responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating, and executing commercial transactions that support TotalEnergies’ U.S. Gas Origination strategy. Through these activities, the Gas Originator contributes to portfolio growth, value creation, and the Company’s broader objectives related to the energy transition and decarbonization.

Working closely with the U.S. Gas Trading Desk, the Gas Originator will originate and execute opportunities that enhance trading margins, optimize portfolio value, and support the growth of TotalEnergies’ integrated energy portfolio. As a key commercial representative of the Company, the individual will maintain a high standard of professionalism while building and strengthening relationships with customers, counterparties, affiliates, and internal stakeholders. The role directly contributes to U.S. Gas Trading P&L through third-party transactions and helps influence commercial business flows and strategic infrastructure commitments across the portfolio.

  • Support TGPNA Trading Team strategies through commercial opportunity development, market intelligence, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
