Technical support and advising
  • Serve as Geomechanics domain technical advisor for all EOG disciplines and assets
  • Present clear, concise technical summaries to asset team members and management
  • Identify/develop/integrate Geomechanical technological advancements and innovations
  • Foster and facilitate intradisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing between disciplines (Geoscience, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.)
  • Be available to travel to EOG divisions as needed to serve above functions
Training and knowledge exchange
  • Develop/lead internal Geomechanics training course
  • Attend/present at EOG internal technical conferences
  • Help mentor young Geoscientists/Engineers in Geomechanics and EOG best practices
  • Support additional in-house training efforts
External/EOG relations
  • Build and maintain Geomechanics industry/academia networks and relationships
EOG representation
  • Purveyor and practitioner of EOG culture

  • Must have a BS in Geology, preferably Geophyscis.
  • Must have 7+ yrs of Geomechnanics based experience in oil & gas industry, less experience will be considered with advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering. 
  • Able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must have good presentation, communication and technical writing skills.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with multi-functional teams. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize projects.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
