In the role of Project Control Professional you will be enrolled in our graduate program and be part of an enthusiastic and delivery-focused Project Services team. Project Services team consists of professionals within Project controls disciplines such as planning, estimating, benchmarking and cost engineering. The main objective of Project Controls is to set up budgets, define schedules and minimize the variance in costs and schedule from what was originally estimated, planned and sanctioned. Project Controls focus on cost and schedule and provide high-quality data for Project Management decisions. 



Your typical work tasks can include: 


  • Develop and present project cost estimates in accordance with corporate methodology 

  • Collect project data and prepare project benchmarks 

  • Develop and maintain project specific WBS (work breakdown structure) 

  • Develop and maintain project schedules  

  • Build and run schedule risk models and provide cost and schedule risk reports 

  • Prepare periodic project cost performance reports, cost forecasts, input to business plans 

  • Monitor, control, analyse and report project status (cost and schedule) at regular intervals throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Liaise with project team members to ensure proper alignment between Cost/Estimate, Schedule and Scope of Work 

  • Utilize project control tools such as EcoSys, Primavera P6, Safran Risk 



  • You have recently graduated or are due to graduate in 2022 with an MSc within Industrial Economics, Business Administration or similar 

  • You have interest in IT solutions and good knowledge of Microsoft office package, Excel, databases, visualization tools 

  • You have good oral/written communication skills both in Norwegian and in English      

  • You have analytical mind and strong communication skills

About the graduate program: 

Being a graduate in Aker BP is an opportunity for you with less than two years of relevant professional experience. We will secure you a permanent role within the company and develop your skills through on-the-job training, seminars, courses, e-learning, and individual follow-up. You will learn about the industry and how we work in Aker BP. The graduate program is also a unique opportunity to build your network with recent graduates, mentors, and leaders across departments and disciplines.
