Typical tasks within Mapping department consists of working with:
- Geographical databases ESRI and Oracle including Equinor’s infrastructure data
- Project support within business development, project development and operations
- Engineering and geomatics support to renewable projects within wind and solar and to oil & gas related projects
- Geographical information tools like ESRI ArcGIS platform (Desktop, Pro, Portal etc.), Navimodel, Microstation, Autodesk, FME etc.
- Geodesy
- Programming, e.g. using Python together with ESRI toolbox, but also Matlab
- Analysis of data from seabed mapping by means of offshore vessels and ROVs
- Safety, security and sustainability support
- Marine operations support
