NES FIRCROFT are pleased to announce a opportunity available for a upcoming Graduate Civil Engineer who will be quality focussed, on a landmark Solar Farm, in Uralla, NSW. This opportunity is a huge opportunity to enter the rapidly growing Renweable Energy sector. The key points about this role are below:

 – Graduate Civil Engineer
 – Rostered Role (3 weeks on / 1 week off)
 – FIFO & DIDO accepted once travel restrictions lift
 – $80k – $90k + Superannuation 
 – Immediate Start 

POSITION PURPOSE
The position provides specific expertise for monitoring and evaluating internal construction processes, examining ongoing and final construction to determine their quality and engaging with clients, contractors and suppliers ensuring quality standards are being met.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand company quality requirements and expectations
• Develop and review quality control processes and procedures
• Develop quality specifications to be applied to site processes
• Ensure products are manufactured and services are built with adherence to legal and safety standards
• Supervise project staff and monitor production standards
• Inspect the quality of the materials, tools and processes that are used in construction
• Monitor and evaluate internal production processes
• Evaluate final output of constructed elements to determine their quality
• Reject systems or supplies that fail quality standards
• Produce statistical reports on quality standards
• Report to upper management on quality standard issues
• Meet contractual conditions of performance
• Investigate, follow up and close out all nonconformities with efficiency and in a timely manner
• Plan ahead to prevent potential problems and resolve all existing ones
• Prepare internal and external reports belonging to job status
• Monitor quality documentation is kept up to date
• Ensure Project Milestones documentation is delivered on time
• Perform site quality inspections

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Establish quality project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
• Promote awareness of company quality policies and ensure all personnel are trained and educated in accordance with company and project quality requirements
• Promote awareness of safe working practices and imbed a safety culture
• Provide effective supervision to ensure compliance with all GLC policies, procedures and quality guidelines along with completion of project on time and within budgetary expectations.
• Evaluation, organization and prioritising of workload within project schedule

MADE WITH APPROVAL
• Minor changes or improvements to site quality processes and the implementation thereof (with Site Quality Manager
• Major changes that can significantly impact project quality performances, output and/or deliverables (with Site Quality Manager and Construction Manager)
• Major changes that can impact company quality processes and management system (with Site Quality Manager and GLC Quality Manager)

PREFERRED PREREQUISITES
• Degree in quality management, civil engineering or related field
• At least 1 year industry experience in a similar role preferred
• Demonstrated experience with, and a clear understanding of civil works
• Clear understanding of Quality management systems
• Current Drivers licence
• Possesses construction White Card
• Advance Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of construction processes, means and methods
• Advanced knowledge of construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Advanced knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and testing
• Understanding of all different aspects of the construction process
• Quality control and auditing certification advantageous
• Excellent attention to details
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Data analysis and statistical aptitude
• Good interpersonal skills
• Highly conscientious and diligent
• Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and performance evaluation
