  • Develop, implement, and maintain group engineering standards, SOPs, QA/QC checklists, and reporting templates.
  • Conduct technical audits across sites covering mine planning, drill & blast, ground support, and ventilation interfaces.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic equipment, process, or productivity bottlenecks.
  • Support maintenance teams through asset reliability and utilisation analysis, including MTBF and MTTR improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical input into tenders, including fleet sizing, production rates, mining methods, and risk registers.
  • Coach, mentor, and support the development and localisation of site-based engineering teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing technical downtime and improving plan compliance.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in mining engineering or technical services roles.
  • Strong underground mining exposure essential; open-pit experience advantageous
  • Experience reviewing mine plans using Deswik, Surpac, or Vulcan.
  • Basic knowledge of ventilation software (e.g., Ventsim).
  • Exposure to CMMS systems and operational dashboards (Power BI or similar)
  • Proven multi-site mining support experience, preferably within West Africa or similar emerging markets.
  • Solid understanding of mine planning, drill and blast, ground support, and ventilation interfaces.
  • Experience conducting technical audits and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Strong analytical, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Benefits and Contractual Information:

  • Travel requirement: approximately 30–50%
