Head of Asset & Vessel Management | Ably Resources LTD

We’re recruiting a senior leader to take full accountability for an international organisations assets and vessel management function. This is a strategic, hands-on role responsible for maximising fleet availability, driving operational excellence and ensuring regulatory / class compliance across complex DP and heavy-lift vessels.

Your new role:
– Set and execute asset & vessel management strategy to optimise utilisation, lifecycle and return on investment.
– Lead and develop a high-performing asset team, embedding continuous improvement and succession planning.
– Oversee full lifecycle activities: acquisition, operation, maintenance, dry-docking and disposal.
– Deliver safety, technical integrity and class compliance across the fleet.
– Manage OPEX/CAPEX planning and the annual asset budget; drive cost-efficient maintenance and vendor negotiations.
– Support commercial and delivery teams with asset readiness for tenders and project mobilisation.

Must-have experience & qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related discipline.
– 20+ years’ experience in offshore oil & gas / marine energy, with a minimum of 10 years in senior asset/vessel leadership.
– Direct, demonstrable experience with DP vessels — Heavy-lift and Pipe-lay DP vessels experience is essential.
– Strong track record in asset performance improvement, maintenance strategy, dry-dock planning and regulatory/class engagement.
– Proven financial acumen managing budgets, CAPEX programmes and cost recovery.
