Head of Construction Engineering
Our client, a major LNG operator in Qatar, requires a Head of Construction Engineering for an Onshore project on a 3-year renewal contract basis.
 

Reporting

  • Reports to: EPC Construction Division Manager
  • Direct Reports – up to 4 direct reports

Main Accountabilities
  • The position is responsible and accountable for all construction engineering and construction reporting activities pertaining to the scope of EPC construction activities at site in accordance with the Completion Sequence.
  • This position is located at Site to provide construction engineering and reporting to ensure compliance with the approved construction sequence and a seamless transition with the pre-commissioning, then commissioning activities.
  • The position shall interact daily with construction team and counterparts in EPC Contractor organization
  • The position includes a close coordination and interaction with the Field Engineering personnel and Head of Planning or Planning and Schedule Specialist(s) to keep control on the schedule and key Project and Progress Milestones.
  • The position includes the review, comment and approval of construction engineering and reporting related deliverables submitted by the EPC Contractor.

Suitable candidates will require a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil Structural Preferred) with technical background as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer with solid Project Execution experience.

Suitable candidates must have more than Ten (10) years in Project Execution, with a strong background in Project Engineering, Project Controls, and fabrication/construction engineering management of large green field construction activities.

  • Proven experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management
  • Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.
  • Experience with LNG Projects.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP)

On offer is a competitive daily rate with monthly living and transport allowances on a 12 x 2 weeks rotation schedule with flights provided. Married status option also available.
