Join TotalEnergies Renewables inside Total Solar Distributed Generation (TSDG) perimeter and be responsible for the P&L in the Nederlands when the team will be set up. 

What could be your next day-to-day responsibilities? 
As Head of Total Solar Distributed Generation, you will report to the Head of the TSDG Europe Hub.
The role is to set up organically the solar distributed generation business in NL and then, expanding to be leading solar DG in the country thanks a target of reaching 150 MW awarded within 5 years and 3 to 5% of market share. The “Head of DG NL” will be leading the future team of Business developers and Project manager in all phases of project development, coordinating stakeholders, closing exclusivity deals with co-development partners, building long-term relationships. The scope of the job is about managing legal entities, regulatory processes, business infrastructures, teams, commercial activities, financing, business partners, coordinating stake holders, reporting and staff to oversee the build and operation of solar systems.

The role is to be accountable for NL as head of the TSDG business:

  • To implement the Total Solar Distributed Generation business model, find and contract projects, construct, finance, farm down 50% of Croup equity then operate the assets.
  • To ensure strong project economics and safe project construction / operation.
  • To set up and maintain the legal and operational infrastructure required to operate in the target countrie (legal, fiscal, regulatory).
  • To develop, put in place and maintain Group processes and structures under One Total to ensure compliance to group processes (fiscal, compliance, RH, legal, comms etc.)
  • To implement sales and marketing processes and structures / partnership networks / product and economic offerings to complete and maximize competitive advantage in the countries of operation.
  • Implementation and active monitoring of HSE processes and actions for construction sites and O&M of operational solar plants.
  • To put in place competitive project finance once projects are built and necessary scale reached. To then ensure that the administration processes to support the financing are maintained effectively
  • To effectively work in the network of Total MS in country teams, regulatory bodies, business customers and business groups, financing institutions.
  • Credit management : collection of cash from customers for the services provided.

Working with partners of the Group in the regional/regional relationship development for the Group

    The business operates in a very competitive environment with both local and international competitors. Constantly changing technical evolutions require that to remain competitive active cost reduction and performance improvement processes need to be actioned.
  • The regulatory environment:
    Each country in the region being managed has different regulatory framework and context for which the business must operate. Regulation for self-consumption is constantly evolving and the business is required on a regular basis to adapt its business model.
  • The HSE environment:
    To ensure that the highest standards of HSE are implemented to meet Group standards. This can often involve implementing additional processes beyond what is market standard in the region of operation.

Candidate profile

What is the profile of our ideal candidate? 

You do have 10 years of experience positioning sophisticated solutions and cost-benefit analyses ?
In this case, the role should suit you.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that he/she has the following capabilities.

Among them:

  • Previous management of a business unit. Building a P&L, Structuring pricing proposals
  • Strong leadership skills. Able to recruit, set up, manage, direct and motivate a team of diverse skilled resources. Able to bond into an effective team.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with autonomy.
  • Experience of contractor management, tendering processes, construction site management and asset O&M
  • Precision and zero compromise / tolerance approach to HSE. Technical excellence must be proven
  • Commercial skills ability to negotiate contracts with all levels of counterparty business.
  • Project financing knowledge and experience (supported by PF experts)
  • Knowledge of Group processes for compliance and operation.
  • Experiences in different cultural environment
  • Working languages: English, Dutch, French is a nice to have.
