Health and Safey Advisor – Power Generation 
Permanent
Location: Dublin
                           
Ready for a career change? Our client is searching for a dynamic Health and Safety Advisor to be a vital part of their team

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed.
• Maintain existing safe systems of work and introduce improvements where necessary.
• Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation.
• Maintain Health & Safety induction programmes for contractors and employees.
• Update and monitor the health & safety management system for Power Station.
• Ensure that job specific Health & Safety plans, risk assessments and method statements are prepared.
• Ensure that all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented
• Carry out risk assessments, routine inspections and site audits as required.
• Ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported, recorded and investigated and that suitable corrective measures are put in place.
• Act as primary contact for external Health and Safety agencies such as the HSA
• Develop power station health and safety plans for maintenance shutdowns, and act as the H&S expert for the duration of any outages.
