Assist operation teams in  Implementing and meeting HSE priorities, metrics, goals, and requirements to complete the integration process and operational ownership of HSE. Ensure implementation of Baker Hughes HSE Management System (MS).Present safety data, HSE alerts and discuss issues related to HSE internally and with Clients HSE and ops teams. Conducting training on various safety related topics to create awareness and knowledge among employees. Conduct accident investigations and providing findings to management and clients

Responsible for roles that will typically be aligned to specific businesses or sectors. Individuals will generally either be located at, and only support, a specific site or project (including construction), or have a role that requires specific industry/business expertise or interaction with specific business customers. This category will include those EHS professionals involved in “designing for EHS” (NPI), individuals responsible for customer or industry engagement, and EHS professionals working at customer sites or projects (generally not managing teams of EHS professionals or regions). Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches.
 

As a HSE specialist, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Providing day-to-day EHS support for service activities and projects and currently tend to report into a specific sector or P&L and cover this sector or P&L only. They are equivalent to plant level EHS professionals and provide immediate, direct support to field service employees that work at customer sites. 
  • Training, inspections, customer interaction around planning and job execution. They are the first line contact for the field service engineers as they manage day to day EHS issues in service work. They typically do not have any direct reports.
  • Elaborating  proposals for improvement in approaches, methods, procedures and processes in the own field.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
  • Contributing to project as a team member. Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety).
  • Have good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Good problem solving skills.
