HSE Officer – Cables

We are seeking a skilled HSE Officer for a Major Offshore grid Connection project.

You would be responsible for overseeing all HSE matters within the Cables package. Reporting directly to the Project HSE Manager, you will manage safety coordination, liaise with HSE client representatives, and ensure compliance with HSE management systems and legal requirements. Your role involves attending HSE-focused meetings, proposing measures to minimize risks, and actively participating in design workshops and reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage safety coordination and liaise with HSE client reps
• Implement and monitor project-specific HSE management systems
• Review and challenge HSE documents and risk assessments
• Conduct HSE audits and site inspections
• Track HSE KPIs and contribute to emergency response coordination
• Promote a culture of safety leadership within the project team

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of HSE management experience in major offshore projects
• Technical education in HSE or related discipline
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous
• Familiarity with offshore high voltage cable installation and Belgian HSE legislation
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
