The position

By joining our team in CFO Functional Center of Excellence you will have the opportunity to:

  • Enhance Equinor internal control framework and design by understanding processes, risks and controls.
  • Identify and document internal control gaps/deficiencies and work with the organization to implement remediating actions.
  • Contribute to improvements and automation efforts to increase efficiency of internal control performance.
  • Train others on Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) subject matter to enhance their control performance and understanding.
  • Understand and implement new regulatory requirements, including internal control over sustainability reporting.
  • Have close collaboration with the external auditor.
  • Be an active contributor in the ICOFR group/network with the goal to create a top quality internal control environment within the company.
  • Be a part of the competence centre within Finance and Control (F&C) delivering internal control services to oil & gas, renewables, low carbon, marketing solutions, corporate units and functions. Work closely with other team members and leaders both within the business lines and F&C. As we cover a range of different business units and competence areas, our ambition is to strengthen our team members’ cross-discipline skills. This gives you the possibility to use your expertise, learn and contribute to the business and our discipline.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing or similar subject.
  • Previous experience of working with accounting, auditing or similar.
  • Experience from key controls performance and development is an advantage
  • Strong professional skills with Internal control and Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Ability to communicate complex professional matters to those not specialized in ICOFR.
  • Experience with using and/ or developing digital tools/ data analytics for financial reporting and internal control
  • Ability to work through others and build effective teams and develop talents.
