Job description
On behalf of a major PMC, WRS are looking for an Instrument & Controls Engineer to work in Abu Dhabi on a contract, residential basis. This will be a 12 month contract with potential for extension, working Monday – Friday in the client’s offices in Abu Dhabi, paying an hourly rate in USD. The role will support the EPC of a large scale offshore gas field development project.
Job Duties include
- Provide realistic and practical technical solutions to operational engineering challenges.
- Evaluate existing and new manufacturers in his/her area of expertise for technical competence and compliance.
- Perform technical studies in applicable project related technical issues and prepare reports and feedback for presentation to technical and management personnel.
- Review engineering and design proposals for large project.
- Review and develop engineering and design documentation, including engineering procedures, standards and specifications (FEED).
- Experience on HAZOP/SIL assignment and knowledgeable of IEC 61511.
Ideal canddiate will have
- BSc Electrical/Mechanical/Process/Process Control Engineering.
- 10-15 years of experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry
- Must have in-depth knowledge of basic instrumentation and control including flow, level, pressure, temperature and process analysis
- Previous experience working in a PMC/PMT capacity
