Job Title: Instrumentation and Control Engineer (Control Systems Focus)
Location: Remote (Contract Role, Norway-Based Projects)
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer with a strong background in control systems to support offshore and onshore energy projects. This is a contract position with flexibility for remote work, supporting a Norway-based engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain control narratives and functional descriptions for various systems

Prepare and manage I/O lists, Cause & Effect (C&E) matrices, and interface documentation

Contribute to the development and integration of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS)

Ensure technical documentation aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with multi discipline teams to ensure proper system functionality and integration
-
Review vendor documentation and provide input on system control strategies
-
Support testing, commissioning, and verification activities where applicable
Requirements:

Solid experience working with control systems in the energy, oil and gas, or maritime sectors

Proficient in developing control narratives, I/O lists, and C&E diagrams

Familiarity with ICSS and interfacing requirements

Strong documentation and technical writing skills

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment

Prior experience supporting projects remotely is a plus
