We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of IT Procurement – Requisitioner within our IT Procurement & Asset Mgmt group based in The Woodlands.

  • Purchase software, hardware, and services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets for IT

  • Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact IT business operations

  • Act as an interface between suppliers and IT staff on purchasing processes and new projects and activities

  • Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the IT organization

  • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities

  • Prepare reports and updates as needed or required

  • Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Negotiate and improve prices with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings

  • Prepare and raise purchase requisitions

  • Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all suppliers

  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process

  • Conduct research for new components and suppliers

  • Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation

  • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

  • Submit New Vendor and Vendor data update requests

  • Create new and maintain all existing IT renewals in ServiceNow

  • Issue Goods Receipts when necessary

  • Work with buyers to complete purchase orders

  • Load contract documents

  • Work with suppliers and AP organization to resolve invoice issues



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Business or Supply Chain preferred

  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiating, and general commercial understanding of cost breakdowns

  • Experience working closely with suppliers

  • Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel abilities; including use of Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with SAP and the P2P process

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • Experience with Ariba

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work well with a team

  • Sense of urgency to complete tasks



Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience working in a purchasing team preferably in Oil & Gas, or IT environment

  • General understanding of contract structure, IT contracts & terminology preferred

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Experience using AWS Marketplace

  • Experience with Spotfire reports

  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and provide input to business improvements

  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers

  • Analytical; Numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities

  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets

  • Able to work under pressure and handle emergencies or stressful situations
