Offshore Engineering | 12-Month Renewable Contract | London

Contract: 12-month renewable

Company & role overview

Leap29 is supporting a leading offshore engineering and project delivery specialist operating across decommissioning, transport & installation, and offshore wind. The business delivers complex marine projects through a fully integrated model combining in-house engineering, specialist vessels and project execution capability.

The Junior Structural Engineer will provide structural engineering support across studies, tenders and live offshore projects, working on lifting arrangements and offshore steel structures.

The role is based in London with potential site, yard or offshore exposure depending on project requirements.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Concept and detailed design of offshore lifting arrangements and steel structures
  • Design of lifting appliances, lift points, grillage and seafastening
  • Structural strength verification, including non-linear FEA
  • Engineering analysis using tools such as SACS and ABAQUS
  • Support project teams across decommissioning, T&I and wind projects
  • Work in line with established engineering standards and procedures

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Some experience in offshore engineering projects
  • Basic knowledge of structural and mechanical engineering principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Willingness to work on site, in yards or offshore if required
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
