Lathe Operators (Vechta) x 8

Duties and responsibilities:

• Independent creation of CNC programs on turning/milling centers (multitask machines)
• Independent setup of CNC turning/milling centers
• Manufacturing of single parts and small series according to drawings
• Control of the components with regard to surface quality and dimensions according to technical drawings and test plans
• Documentation of measurement results
• Maintenance and care of machines, tools and equipment
• Independent production of special threads according to API standards and Vallourec specifications
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of processes in production

Skills and experience required:

• Completed vocational training as a machinist or toolmaker
• Knowledge of programming and setting up CNC machines
• Knowledge of metal technology and manual dexterity
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, as well as the operation of handhelds and terminal scanners)
• Experience in the use of Mazak and or DMG MORI Machines
• Proficient in English for the purposes of day by day work. German language is also a benefit, but not compulsory
