In your role as an all-round Lead Civil Structural Engineer, your duties will encompass defining project objectives, scope, and necessary resources in consultation with the internal client. You will also be tasked with creating project plans, investment proposals, requirement schedules, and tender documents. Furthermore, ensuring the availability of required resources and tools falls under your purview.

Your responsibilities extend to project execution, monitoring, potential adjustments, and coordination with the project team and the client. Preparing specifications, conducting assessments, and overseeing product and service procurement from executing parties in collaboration with the purchasing department are also part of your responsibilities.

Cultivating and nurturing a broad network among clients and internally at the company is vital to your success. Ensuring a well-balanced project team and proficiently managing the team’s functions and interactions with external parties, in consultation with the client, are pivotal components of your role.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting project progress reports and cost statements. Evaluating projects both qualitatively and quantitatively and delivering project outcomes to the internal client are also integral to your responsibilities.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Lead, overseeing multidisciplinary projects within the industry or utilities sector, with a substantial civil engineering / construction component.
  • A genuine affinity for working at site-based locations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, making you a persuasive and effective intermediary for both clients and the internal organisation.
  • Proficiency in navigating an organisation where various interests are at play.
  • The ability to professionally oversee other disciplines (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, data) within projects.
  • A hands-on mentality that enables seamless transitions between strategic demands and operational execution.
  • Proficiency with standardized project management methodologies and procedures.
  • Strong commercial acumen, enabling you to identify opportunities and translate them into solutions for clients.
  • Proficiency in the Dutch language.
