Job Description:
Our client, a leading technology provider to the traditional and new energies industry; delivering fully integrated projects, products, and services, is looking for a Rotating Equipment Engineer. In this role, you will play a key role in engineering and designing international projects in the mining and metals sector, particularly in lithium refining, battery recycling, solid management processes, beneficiation, and hydrometallurgy. You will work within a multicultural task force and collaborate with various teams across disciplines (technical, project management, procurement, and construction) and international partners (clients, vendors, value engineering partners). This role provides an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative and sustainable solutions, contributing to the global energy transition
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop equipment specifications, data sheets, guide plans, and design calculations for tenders and orders.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to select the most suitable equipment based on project constraints (technology, schedule, cost) through technical clarifications, evaluations, and comparisons of supplier offers.
- Coordinate technically with specialists in processes, instrumentation, electricity, and installation to gather input data from suppliers and ensure the technical compliance of supplier designs.
- Monitor supplier progress, including managing technical meetings, reviewing plans, and resolving technical issues.
- Act as the key liaison for project management, clients, technical disciplines, and procurement for the equipment scope.
- Participate in and contribute to multicultural teams working on international projects.
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering, general engineering, or an equivalent university degree.
- Several years of experience in engineering or as a project manager or head of an equipment engineering team, with significant knowledge of equipment such as crushers, mills, filters, conveyors, dryers, separators, and evaporators.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams, showcasing flexibility and open-mindedness.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a dynamic approach to work, and a good command of English.
- A willingness to take on technical responsibility and act as a key liaison with various stakeholders.
