Context & Environment
Are you an experienced pipeline engineer with strong expertise in offshore project delivery and pipeline systems design?
TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer to oversee the design, engineering, and delivery of pipeline systems across major development projects. This role is critical in ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective pipeline solutions from concept through to commissioning and operations.
Activities
Your Impact
As a Lead Pipeline Engineer, you will:
- Lead pipeline engineering activities across all project phases, from pre-development and FEED to EPCIC, commissioning, and operational support.
- Oversee contractor deliverables and pipeline design execution, ensuring compliance with project scope, standards, schedule, and HSE requirements.
- Manage interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient integration across subsurface, construction, and operations.
- Support procurement and contracting activities, including tender preparation, technical bid evaluations, and management of pipeline LLI packages.
- Ensure technical integrity of pipeline systems, including design basis, routing, sizing, material selection, and support during installation, commissioning, and start-up.
Candidate Profile
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with at least 15 years of oil and gas experience, including 10 years in offshore pipeline engineering.
- Proven experience across full project lifecycle, including conceptual design, FEED, detailed engineering, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline engineering standards, materials, and installation practices, with experience in major pipeline packages.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces and working with contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
- Professional Engineer certification preferred, with strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to operate across office, yard, and offshore environments.
