The position

By joining our team in Communication you will be responsible for:

  • Provide communication support to Equinor’s businesses and operations at the Hammerfest LNG (HLNG) plant to build and safeguard Equinor’s reputation in Northern Norway.

  • Develop and deliver on communication plan for HLNG.

  • Identify, plan and execute communication activities on potential media issues and secure quality and collaboration on incident handling.

  • Work closely with other business areas, and contribute when needed, to position key activities and milestones at Hammerfest LNG and the greater Northern Norway region.

  • Develop content to support increased engagement on various communication channels, including articles for media, website content, social media content and video clips.

  • Provide key messages and communication products of high-profile visits, conferences, and events.

  • Build and maintain close dialogue with key external stakeholders in Hammerfest and the greater Northern Norway region to demonstrate our commitment in the region.

  • Strong and demonstrable relevant network in Finnmark and understanding of local, regional and national politics. 

  • Minimum a bachelor degree in relevant field of communication, public affairs, political science, international relations or similar. 

  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including storytelling capabilities, with an ability to demonstrate strategic use of different communication channels/formats.

  • Strategic mindset and ability to act as communication advisor to senior leaders.

  • Collaborative and able to work well as a team member in a fast moving and high-pressure environment.

  • Hands-on and proactive, with curiosity and ability to learn new skills.
