The position

Marketing, Midstream & Processing (MMP) Crude, Products, and LPG (CPL) is Equinor’s marketing and trading arm for liquid commodities. MMP CPL handles the marketing, flow assurance and trading of Equinor equity volumes and linked third party volumes. Going forward, CPL will also be the asset owner for offtake contracts and non-operated assets for the new emerging fuels segment. The Emerging Liquids & Fuels (ELF) unit will be the gatekeeper for CPL in the ELF-products and responsible for commercial expansion into the ammonia market, project support, market strategy and regulatory understanding, and finally also CPL’s ELF asset ownership for non-operated assets.  

By joining our ELF unit you will not only have the exciting, yet demanding madate to bring stakholders up to speed but also have the opportunity to:

  • Mature and support the ammonia projects with deliveries related to commercial agreement including, analysis of market potential,  analysis of commercial models, risk analysis, interfacing with economic analysis and project financing divisions, developing business cases, and leading the commercial quality assurance and control process.
  • Support Business Development in maturing prospects and leads in the ammonia segment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal asset managers, technical and legal leads, commercial support resources, and executive leadership to anchor and inform business cases.
  • Provide commercial support for business development opportunities within the broader CCS and Hydrogen portfolio.
  • Manage the internal governance process and engage across relevant departments to ensure alignment on strategic approaches.
  • Marketing of specific ammonia project volumes.
  • Support CPL strategy development and execution.
  • Become the subject matter expert in Low Carbon ammonia within the Asian market for Equinor. 

You

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree within one of the following fields; sustainability, technology, science, economics, business administration or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within the low carbon ammonia segment such as but not limited to;
    • Marketing/trading.
    • Regulatory.
    • Origination.
    • Operational.
    • Market/business analysis.
  • Strong commercial mindset with proven experience delivering value within CCS, ammonia and hydrogen solutions.
  • Excellent analytical / financial skills, entrepreneurial business acumen, and demonstrated achievement, including experience in financial modelling or risk management in a trading environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enjoys being at the stage selling a message.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
