Airswift is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Onshore) to work on a permanent contract in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil & Gas Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, controlling and supporting the electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance of platforms.
Checking equipment with third-party companies and lining up the necessary deliveries with the Purchasing and Base team.
Proactively contribute to the running of the maintenance department, both onshore and offshore, through the development of ideas and teamwork.
Responsible for establishing relationships with suppliers to ensure that materials or repairs are specified correctly, delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsible for developing and managing platform shutdown work scopes and expediting required services.
Verify and monitor repair requisitions to ensure work is carried out in a timely manner and to expected standards.
Carry out 12 Month Lookahead Reports to facilitate planning for future drilling stoppages.
Liaise with buyers to monitor the status of urgent orders.
Carry out regular offshore visits to meet with the offshore maintenance and operations teams to discuss ongoing issues.
Inspect onshore warehouse facilities to ensure they are maintained in a suitable condition to maintain the integrity of allocated stock, where necessary.
As necessary, review critical spare parts stock and minimum and maximum values.
Daily, monitor maintenance activity on board the allocated platform and always be aware of current and future operation to provide support as required.
Plan the calibration and certification routine for meters and flowmeters.
Align weekly with the Platform Manager and Maintenance Manager regarding equipment/parts priorities and challenges that may have a direct impact on ongoing and/or planned operations.
Identify with the Platform Manager and Maintenance Manager the immediate and root causes of equipment failures.
Monitor and discuss the status of the M2 Work Order and SAP at least weekly.
Review and update planned maintenance tasks as necessary.
Produce monthly safety-critical and general backlog reports.
Responsible for ensuring that all rules and regulations applicable to offshore units are maintained and that documentation arising from such rules/regulations is maintained.
Manage and process change requests and deferral requests for the Maintenance Management System as required.
If required by the company, ensure that your CREA certificate is up to date.
Be the NR focal point, if necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
– Degree in Engineering (with CREA)
– Postgraduate or MBA in Maintenance desirable
Experience:
– Experience in Offshore Oil and Gas
– Good computer skills
– Knowledge of maintenance systems
– Knowledge of IFS and SAP systems
– Knowledge of NR 10 and NR 13
– CBSP + HUET course
