MANUFACTURING ENGINEER



Job Summary




• Perform functions to provide technical, administrative, and financial direction for all manufacturing related departments as well as supporting continuous process improvement, six sigma, safety & environment.
• Work with line managers to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvements projects to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Lead Industrial 4.0 implementation and digitalization projects.
 

Minimum Job Qualifications



• The role of a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly) is to support the day-to-day operations of the value stream cells in processes, tools, equipment, facilities, and systems to drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity of the shop
 • Prepare Process Routings and determine most economical Process Sequence.
• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation for future availability.
• Provide tooling and fixtures support to operations
• To provide CAD drawing to assembly operations. Manage the CAD drawing in assembly share drive
• Lead on RIE and A4 improvements. Manage Capex and expenses.
• Support upfront project/design review which include tooling & procedures
• Support shopfloor trouble shooting process
• Follow up on EWR/FPR
• Responsible for the implementation of key elements of Lean, such as: standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout and work sequence optimization, training development matrix, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S workouts, pull processes, TPM (total preventive maintenance), cell design, and quick changeover/batch-size optimization
. • Responsible for the implementation of digitalization projects, such as: paperless routing, testing automation, remote visual inspection, A&T virtual built, DFM and modeling… power BI, digital ODM/SFDM, and continuous improvements.
• Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices
. • Perform all duties as assigned by department head. • Ensure compliance to all health, safety, and environment policies


Preferred Qualifications



Experience: • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in assembly and test
Education: • A degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent
