As a Mechanical Digital Engineer, you will work on activities for New Technology Introduction and New Product Introduction projects within Innovation Engineering organization.
As a Mechanical Digital Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Executing virtual and augmented reality activities to support and validate new products and new technology project’s needs.
- Clearly articulate design decisions to a vast set of internal stakeholders across functions involved.
- Working collaboratively with Digital Technology and other partners for technology project from concept to completion
- Maintaining an active role in developing and defining the state of the art in virtual and reality technologies to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution.
- Communicating results by preparing written reports and making presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and value obtained.
- Managing and using virtual and augmented reality hardware to validate new technology from lab to production environment
- Providing technical guidance, direction and training to other functions and co-ops.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have bachelors or master’s in mechanical engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience in below areas
- Industrial digital twin/industrial metaverse/AI ML concepts OR
- Virtual and augmented reality software and hardware application OR
- Turbo-machinery products design, function, manufacturing and assembly OR
- Plant modelling tools like Navisworks, Aveva E3D, smart plant OR
- Experience and understanding of plant design, p&id, piping design, plant construction.
- Good to have an experience with using, Siemens PLM and 3D modelling platform and tools like Teamcenter, Active work space, NX, vismock up, Tecnomatix.
- Good to have an experience at shop-floor or production/oil and gas sites.
Good to have an experience with MES tools like Opcenter, oracle MES or similar. - Good to have an understanding of ITO, OTR terminologies and project engineering.
- Good to have an experience in assembly tooling and fixturing.
- Good to have a knowledge on different CAD model formats, 3D model attributes and CAD conversion techniques.
- Good to have an experience in NPD and NTD project execution. And Agile process familiarization
